The Doula Difference
Why would a mother need a doula when they have a partner or medical professional by their side during birth?
While medical staff are essential, they’re often caring for multiple patients. The OB or midwife typically only arrives when it’s time to push. Partners certainly provide vital emotional support, but sometimes the demands of the birth experience call for more knowledge? expertise? than they can provide.
As your doula, I offer continuous, personalized support that complements the efforts of your partner and medical team before and throughout the birth process.
I can help create a calm, focused environment while your partner supports you emotionally. I can offer additional hands for counterpressure and guide you through different laboring positions.
And, if your partner needs to rest or finds it difficult to see you in the intensity of labor, I will remain by your side, providing consistent, compassionate care throughout the entire process.

T H E S T O R Y
I am Loree, the heart behind North Texas Doula. My journey into all-things fertility, birth, and postpartum began with my own experience trying to conceive. I quickly realized how little I knew about hormones, fertility challenges, and women’s health—and I set out to learn as much as I could.
When my first child was born, I marveled at my own body’s incredible abilities and at how transformative the birth experience is.
But transformative isn’t always easy. My son spent time in the NICU and in the weeks that followed, I was blindsided by severe postpartum anxiety and breastfeeding struggles. That experience sparked something in me—a passion to help ensure other moms didn’t feel as unprepared and overwhelmed as I did.
As I continued to learn and grow as a mom, I helped friends prepare mentally and physically for birth and postpartum experiences. Consequently, I was fully prepared for the birth of my second child and achieved a vastly different birth experience.
That personal milestone solidified my mission: To walk alongside moms and their partners as they navigate the journey of birth and postpartum—providing support, encouragement, and practical guidance every step of the way.
This drive to empower others led me to earn my doula certification through the Academy of Certified Birth Educators in 2024.
Today, equipped with evidence-based knowledge, hands-on experience, and a no-frills approach balanced with warmth and authenticity, I support families during one of life’s most pivotal moments.
